Let’s Make Black Friday Green

Category: Holidays, Videos – Bob Stovall – Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 at 8:33 am

The day after Thanksgiving in America is known as Black Friday, the day holiday shopping puts retailers into the black for the year. It certainly appears as if this holiday shopping season is going to take place under tougher economic conditions.

What I have in mind here is to give the economy a little boost, save yourself some money and be kind to the earth all in one shot. This Black Friday, when you go shopping, make one additional purchase. Buy a compact flourescent bulb, some weather stripping, hot water heater blanket, pipe insulation or something like that.

It will be good for the environment. It will save you some money over the course of the next few months and it if millions of these items are purchased, it will put several million dollars into the economy in one day.

Help make Black Friday Green - in more ways than one. Hey! What have you got to lose?
