Kentucky’s historic past, circa 1780-1800, can be seen firsthand at this festival which features living history encampments, audience participation entertainment, 75 top-quality (juried) artists and craftsmen, and food. Set among the original buildings where Kentucky’s forefathers met and debated the issues of the day, including statehood, this festival allows visitors to step back in time 200 years and experience first hand the daily activities, social culture, and attitude of the day. Highlights of the event are strolling minstrels and folk music artists, a 5K run, craft demonstrations, museum tours, art shows and pioneer encampments.
