Danville, KY – Danville residents will have something extra special to celebrate at the 2011 downtown Christmas Parade, in addition to the Holiday Season. The Heart of Danville Main Street Program will kick off the program’s 25th anniversary at the parade, which will have an appropriate theme of “Silver Bells”. Senn, who was a founding member of Heart of Danville said she is especially looking forward to this parade. “I’ve worked many parades over the years, but this one will be most special as it celebrates the Heart, a program that is near and dear to me.” DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18! CLICK HERE FOR A REGISTRATION FORM Joe Martin will serve as grand marshal of the parade. “Joe has served on numerous board and committees that has contributed toward the betterment of Danville.
First I want to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Independence Day. 234 years ago, on a steamy day in Philadelphia, a group of brave men put their lives on the line to give birth to a new nation – an experiment in democracy that two centuries later leads a vastly changed world through uncertain times. For those of you who have never read the document those men put their names to on July 4, 1776, I have re-published it here. Starting today, YourKentuckyHome.com will begin again to provide a place for information on Kentucky events and business. We love the Bluegrass Region and if you’re from somewhere else in this magnificent country, we’re sure you will, too. When you come to visit us, whether for the FEI Equestrian Games, next May’s Kentucky Derby, or any of the wonderful local festivals throughout the summer in many of Kentucky’s towns and cities, you’ll discover how wonderful life in the Bluegrass can be. You may want to consider making it Your Kentucky Home.
