Bourbon Barrel Art Project Voting Coming Soon by Bob Stovall
Watch for the Bourbon Barrel Art Project poll and vote for your favorite!
In just a few days, voting will begin for Viewer’s Choice for the Bourbon Barrel Art Project, a charity event hosted by the Kentucky State BBQ Festival for the benefit of Heart of Kentucky United Way.
We have a first look at some of the works of art prepared for the Bourbon Barrel Art Project and they are spectacular!
This barrel was painted by Ann Crawford Bess of Junction City, KY. The barrel was sponsored by . This it the first barrel we saw completed and it set a high bar for the ones that followed.
Ann’s fantastic portrayal of horses on a farm certainly says “Kentucky” in every sense of the word. While I was preparing this part of the page, my iTunes started playing Louis Armstrong’s “Wonderful World.” How appropriate!
The next barrel we saw was the one sponsored by Papa John’s and decorated by. Another extra special treatment that met the high standards that this project is coming to symbolize.
I just love the illustration on this barrel, don’t you?
A very different and very creative approach was taken by sponsor and creator Cow-L Studio and decorated by Tim, Stan, Beth, Holly, Talon, Autumn and Carver Harmon.
The family got together and spent a weekend making their vision of this bourbon barrel Holstein a reality. Elegance and humor are the hallmarks that make this barrel a winner.
Once we have the photos of the other barrels in on Monday, we’ll set up the polling and you can vote for your favorite, which will then receive the “Viewer’s Choice” Award at the Kentucky State BBQ Festival Bourbon Barrel Art Auction.
We’ll be posting more barrel pictures in the coming days. These works of art are just too fabulous to keep under wraps!
