3rd annual Oktoberfest celebration to take place on September 29th
It’s that time of year again! Get ready for a great time in Downtown Danville!
The Heart of Danville Main Street Program announces the 3rd annual Oktoberfest on Main: A Craft Beer Celebration.
Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, September 29th from 5-8 p.m. on Main Street between 3rd and 4th Streets. Participants will receive ten 4 oz. samples of craft beer, as well as a souvenir sampling mug.
Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased at the Heart of Danville, Convention and Visitor’s Bureau in Grayson’s Tavern, and V the Market. Tickets will be $25 at the event. There are a limited number of tickets available. Admission is free for those that do not wish to partake in the beer sampling, and attendees under the age of 21.
Food will be available for purchase at the event from The Hub Food Truck, Kiwanis Club, Lucky Dog BBQ, Marksbury Farm, Mermaids, and the Twisted Sifter. Jacobs Hall Museum will be selling soft drinks as a fundraiser. There will be live music courtesy of a handful of members of the Advocate Messenger Brass Band.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the 2013 Lawn Chair Theater movie season, as well as downtown preservation and beautification.
