The band that gets to close the GABBF picnic on Saturday night has their work cut out for them. This honored position was held for years by Olympia Brass Band from New Orleans – a perennial crowd favorite. The closing band has to rock the house. This year the closing position fell to Jack Brass Band out of Minneapolis MN and they did themselves and everyone in attendance proud. They brought down the house. We have some great great events here in the Bluegrass and the Great American Brass Band Festival in Danville is one of the best. It’s our pleasure to bring you this little piece of the 2008 GABBF, the US Army Field Band Chamber Brass Quintet. They were a huge hit at last Saturday’s GABBF Picnic at Centre College. Enjoy!
