Happy Labor Day

Flag folk artJust wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of our subscribers and readers and happy and safe Labor Day Weekend.

I don't know about you, but we here at YourKentuckyHome.com are taking a few days off to spend some time with friends and family. I sincerely hope you have the opportunity to do the same.

Grab the spouse and kiddies and take in one of the activities we mentioned in the previous post. The time we spend with those we love is precious and all too short. So be sure to make the most of the time we are given.

Labor Day Weekend in the Bluegrass

Although here in Kentucky, we can expect some beatuiful weather in September and October, the traditional "end of summer" weekend is upon us and we wanted to give you at look at some things to do in the Bluegrass this weekend.

Lexington Legends Baseball
Applebee's Park
Lexington, KY
This Saturday, Sunday and Monday the Legends play their final three home games of the 2007 season vs. the first place Hickory Crawdads. Sunday Sept 2 (7:05PM) and Monday Sept 3 (2:05PM) are Fan Appreciation Days. Sunday will feature a silent auction to benefit the Mike Coolbaugh Memorial Fund and ADI Fireworks. Monday will feature $1 Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, French Fries, Soft Drinks and Beer.

The Bats finish off their 2007 season at home on Sunday, Sept 2 (6:15PM) and Monday (Labor Day) (1:05PM) against the Indianapolis Indians. Both dates are Fan Appreciation Days and Sunday features post-game fireworks.
